The magnificent Egyptian civilization flourished around 3100-2890 BCE when King Narmer (also known as Menes) unified both lower and upper Egypt. The Egyptian civilization lasted approximately 3,000 years.<\/p>\n

The Egyptians owe their existence to the fertile black silts that would deposit over the cropland along side the banks of the Nile River sustaining their civilization.<\/p>\n

Their kings (also known as Pharaohs) were seen as divine and mediators between the gods\/goddesses.<\/p>\n

The Egyptians accomplished some amazing feats in the construction and in medical field. We can still admire a huge number of their constructions to this day. Some examples are pyramids, sphinxes, obelisks and temple complexes.<\/p>\n

The Egyptians believed that after death they would return to their body however they would need to recognize their body in order to live forever. As a result they started performing the mummification process on their deaths which would prevent their bodies from decaying. This process would typically be performed by priests and take Seventy Days.<\/p>\n

Some well known Egyptian figures are Ramses II, Nefertari, Tutankhamen, Nefertiti, Imhotep and many others.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
